National AAP Teleseminar Series
The National AAP Teleseminar Series is for AAP Exam Takers. Presented by GACHA and the Regional Payments Associations Mondays from 1:00 pm to 2:30 PM Eastern Time, one hour for presentation and 30 minutes for Q&A/exercises. This series includes 6 teleseminars which cover the range of topics on the AAP Exam taught by Regional Payments Associations across the country. Register for one or any combination of all six sessions.
This six-week series of 90 minute teleseminars is designed to offer the Aspiring AAP a review of the ACH Network, ACH Rules, Test taking tips, Regulations and other payment systems, including Check, Wire & Card. The program is designed and managed by the Regional Payments Associations and will be presented by an AAP ACH trainer.

This session will provide the basic principles of the ACH Network, the history, legal framework, participants and flow of ACH transactions. Details on where the Originator fits into the “flow” of an ACH transaction and the route an entry takes before posting to the Receiver’s account will be discussed. Also, do you understand the responsibilities and warranties required of each ACH participant?

As we all know, NACHA requires the use of SEC Codes for each transaction settled through the ACH. IN this session we will identify each code and what type of transaction occurred to create the item. Also, reviewing the products used to maintain each transaction. Due the differences in handling and regulations, we would want to see how to utilize a seperate agreement for each SECC or if more than one apply.

This week of the series is geared toward familiarizing the viewer with the organization and structure of the book, explaining the various sections and contents of both the Operating Rules and Guidelines. This session is especially helpful for anyone who has not fully read the ACH Rules Book or any on that can use a valuable "refresher".

Learn how to make manual entries and easily differentiate between Operator rejects and dishonored returns. Understanding your responsibilities and obligations, as well as the consequences to your organization and your customers is imperative to make effective decisions and apply solutions in a business context.
